Coach Keltie

My earliest encounters with Jiu-Jitsu were in 2013 through a Japanese Jiu-Jitsu club. I committed to the practice after a traumatic personal experience in 2016. Eventually, Japanese Jiu-Jitsu led me to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which led me to BAIRRO, and I haven’t left since.

I started my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey with BAIRRO in January 2019. Instantly, I was hooked. What started as a tool to learn how to defend myself soon became an integral part of my lifestyle. I started training almost every day. I first competed in September 2019 and have since competed in over a dozen tournaments at the Adult level in both gi and nogi.

I love this sport and everything it has opened up in my life. As a coach, I do my best to deliver detailed techniques in an easy-to-comprehend format. I make sure my students understand Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu on a conceptual level. I believe in developing a passion for the sport at all ages in hopes that all my students continue training as long as they are able to. I am incredibly grateful for everything I am able to learn and experience through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

What to expect from my classes: Detailed technique, creative live drilling, and lots of sparing.
