All members and visitors of Bairro Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Kickboxing agree to conduct themselves according to the following regulations:
Bairro reserves the right to revoke the membership of any member who fails to keep and obey these rules and regulations. Failure to abide by this Code of Conduct may result in immediate expulsion from the gym for the remainder of the term without a refund.
Treat all members, staff, and instructors with respect. If you need to leave a class early, please check in with the instructor before leaving the training area. Refrain from whispering or talking during instruction.
Please remove all jewellery and piercings before class.
Gi classes:
All members and visitors must wear a clean, proper-fitting gi to class. Gis must have neutral or Renzo Gracie patches. Other affiliation patches are not permitted. Visiting Renzo Gracie affiliates are welcome to wear their club gis.
All gis must be complete with a top, pants, and belt representing your current rank. Please wear shorts, spats, or compression bottoms under your gi bottoms. Shorts must be free of zippers.
All members must wear a club gi to seminars, competitions, and gradings.
Nogi classes:
All adult members are required to wear a clean club rashguard with shorts or shorts with spats to class. Shorts must be free of pockets and zippers.
Children and teens must wear a tight-fitting shirt, compression shirt, or rashguard with shorts and/or spats. Shorts must be free of pockets and zippers. Jeans, cargo pants, loose t-shirts, hoodies, and skirts are banned.
All rashguards are permissible during open mats.
Kickboxing classes:
Please wear appropriate tops and bottoms. If you require them, please bring your own handwraps.
All classes must be cancelled at least 1 hour before the class. For Kickboxing Punch Pass memberships, failure to cancel a class on time will be considered a “No Show” and the class will be deducted from your membership.
All private training sessions must be cancelled at least 24 hours before the session. Any cancellation after 24 hours will be subject to a full charge.
All memberships will auto-renew at the end of the term unless cancelled. All membership changes must be communicated to our staff over email ([email protected]).
Biweekly members may cancel their membership three days prior to their next billing cycle. To cancel a membership, please email [email protected].
Paid-in-full memberships (including 3, 6, 12, and 24 month memberships) will not be refunded if the member is unable to complete the term of the membership.
Holds will only be placed on memberships in the event of injury or illness. Paid-in-full memberships may place their memberships on hold for the following lengths of time for reasons outside of injuries (including vacations, work, or time away):
3 month PIF membership: 1 week hold
6 month PIF membership: 2 week hold
1 year PIF membership: 1 month hold
2 year PIF membership: 2 month hold
All punch passes, memberships, and private and semi-private training packages are non-refundable. We do not communicate regarding membership issues over social media or texting. All holds and cancellations must be confirmed by email: [email protected]
A late fee of $25 will be applied for any late or failed payments that have not been cleared up within one week. Memberships will be put on hold until the failed payment is rectified.
While we strive to maintain a safe environment, Bairro does not guarantee the safety of personal items on our premises. Please leave your valuables at home. All personal items must be taken home at the end of the night. If items are left on the premises, we cannot guarantee that they will be returned as we empty our lost and found bi-weekly.
We cannot be responsible for the safety of kids outside of their class times (for Tots, 5:00 pm – 5:30 pm, and for Youth, 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm) and during adult classes. Please supervise your children before and after their class. All kids under 4 must be supervised at all times within the facility.
